A Te Puna teenager charged with the armed robbery of two men using a plastic cricket bat has been freed on bail.

Caylum Ford,17, faced two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of injuring with intent to injure in Tauranga District court today.

The robbery and assault of one of the men with the plastic bat is alleged to have occurred in Bethlehem Rd about 11pm on Wednesday night.
