Save A 66-year-old man was flown to hospital after crashing his car into the back of a parked logging truck.
The Tauranga-based TECT Rescue Helicopter was called to Waihi to airlift the man to Tauranga Hospital.
Helicopter pilot Liam Brettkelly said the man suffered chest and abdominal injuries.
The man was
treated at the scene before being flown to hospital in a serious condition.
