A Tauranga business is doing its bit to give hundreds of people the Christmas they deserve.
Gilmours in Cameron Rd has recently started a weekly donation to the Tauranga Community Foodbank, which owners Bryan and Maria Guildford described as a worthy charity that assisted desperate families.
"Not only at Christmas but more so then, times can be tough and we wanted to be able to give back in some way and assist others who really needed it," said Mrs Guildford.
At the store on Tuesday, the couple spoke to the Bay of Plenty Times about why they decided to support the foodbank.
Mrs Guildford said staff wanted to donate to a local charity and decided the foodbank was the one charity they wanted to support.
