A service to commemorate Armistice Day is being held this morning.
Armistice Day is commemorated every year on November 11 to mark the armistice signed between the Allies of World War 1 and Germany, in France.
It took effect at 11am, on the eleventh day of November, 1918.

with the Rotary Club of Otumoetai will holding their annual service this morning at the Kopurererua Valley Reserve from 11am.
The service would include the unveiling of a memorial plaque commemorating the lives of the men from the Tauranga District who died as a result of their service in WWI.
