Armed police have left a property in Gate Pā in Tauranga.

A police spokesman said police executed a pre-planned police operation on Anzac Rd this morning.

The Armed Offender Squad was there as a precaution.

The spokesman said there have been no arrests, but two people of interest were helping police with inquiries.

He said there were no cordons around the area at the time and there was no danger to the public.
