Armageddon brings Game of Thrones actor to Tauranga

A Game of Thrones actor is among the lineup of celebrity guests taking part in this year's Armageddon Expo in Tauranga.

Daniel Portman, who plays Podrick Payne on the show, will join a lineup of stars from other pop culture favourites such as Arrow's David Nykl and Echo Kellum, Michael Rosenbaum of Smallville, Katie McGrath, Lesley-Ann Brandt and Lauren German of Supergirl and Garrett Wang of Star Trek: Voyager.

Fans will have a chance to get autographs and photos with the guests and listen to panels with the stars.

As well as the celebrity panels, Armageddon will host the famous Armageddon Cosplay Contest, laser tag, Airsoft, replica displays, wrestling from IPW or animation screenings, plus a large range of exhibitors including local artists and creators, creative Institutions and popular gaming and pop culture suppliers such as Mighty Ape, PB Tech and Madman Entertainment with merchandise, tech and collectibles.

There will also be a chance to try gaming technology interactive Omen by Hewlett Packard area and watch Kiwi gamers and streamers in action.

Tickets and VIP passes go on sale today from iTicket New Zealand.

Event organiser William Geradts of Beyond Reality Media said he was looking forward to the event.
