Te Puke pool manager Liz Milsom said last year's event was a lot of fun and popular.
"We had over 50 dogs come along last year, and everyone had a fantastic time so we thought why not do it all again," Milsom said.
"The dogs love splashing in the water, showing off their doggy paddle and playing with the other dogs, so it's a great time for them and their owners," she said.
Entry will be by gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the council's dog adoption programme.
Dog owners are urged to bring a towel for their pets, poo bags, leads and doggy floatation devices if necessary.
