Two stages will be pumping out the talents of local performing artists of this region at SummerFest this coming Sunday.

It's a massive day with non-stop entertainment - for as little as $10 per person.

SummerFest is an initiative that Creative Tauranga and Tauranga Round Table hope will become an iconic event for the region, which celebrates and showcases our region's rich creative taonga: our culture, home-grown musicians and performing artists. It's an accessible, 100 per cent alcohol-free event, which encourages our community to support the performing arts, and nurtures up-and-coming local artists into success, both on the national stage and internationally.

Tickets are limited and selling fast, so with a 23C forecast, big holiday weekend crowds expected and a cruiseship in port, Summerfest organisers are encouraging locals to purchase their tickets now to avoid queues on the day. There will be dedicated entry gates for those who have pre-purchased.

Two stages will run between 10am and 9pm - with food stalls, children's activities, music, urban dance and varying entertainment. Tickets are $20 for a family (two adults, three children), $10 youth, $5 for children. Under-fives are free. There is the additional bonus of Tect cardholders being able to secure a family pass for just $15.00.

Tickets on sale from TicketDirect at Baycourt or Tect Arena or online
