Pitch Black have announced their album Filtered Senses will be released on September 2.

Fans have been waiting nine years for the follow-up to Rude Mechanicals.

The new album follows the comeback single Invisible Chatter, including remixes by Digital Playground and Kaminanda.

Meanwhile, Unknown Mortal Orchestra have released the video for their bouncy cover of the Grateful Dead's Shakedown Street.

The song features on Day of the Dead, the massive musical tribute to the American rock legends.

The video, described as a dreamlike experience, is directed by Business Company.

Day of the Dead is curated by Bryce and Aaron Dessner of The National.

That band's lead singer Matt Berninger has a side project called EL VY, who are releasing a video for every song on their album Return To The Moon.

The most recent was the video for Careless, directed by Matt's brother Tom.
