Candice Milner

Lyttleton teenager Candice Milner is set to tour in support of her album Evergreen.

Two years ago Milner wrote a song about coping with the death of her grandmother. She donated Helping Hands to CanTeen to raise funds for cancer awareness.

Now the 17-year-old has a full album - the debut is a mix of folk, country, rock and pop, and includes the track Run For It, which placed first on theaudience.co.nz's Wildcard Chart and the charming yet spooky duet Go 'Round.

Hopetoun Brown: Nick Atkinson and Tim Stewart

Hopetoun Brown are also hitting the road with new music.

Tim Stewart and Nick Atkinson this week release their second album Look So Good, and it's full of top notch collaborators including Tami Neilson, Aldous Harding and Marlon Williams.

The sophomore effort from the former Supergroove duo comes just 12 months after debut Burning Fuse.

Revisit a classic artist

Bob Marley's birthday may coincide with Waitangi Day each year, but the Aotearoa connection with the reggae legend goes deeper than that.

A homegrown tribute to Marley has been announced - 15 Kiwi artists giving their own takes on the man's music.

The album - Stir It Up - is out November 4.

Artists gathered from around Aotearoa to record their tributes to Bob Marley.

Artists include Hollie Smith (No Woman No Cry), Anika Moa (Three Little Birds), Katchafire (Punky Reggae Party), Thomas Oliver (Is This Love), Bic Runga (Redemption Song) and Trinity Roots (Waiting In Vain) among others.

Tiki Taane's Drum & Bass Get Up Stand Up and Aaradhna's smooth South Seas reggae version of Could You Be Loved have already been released.

Meanwhile, Thomas Oliver has also been busy putting together an acoustic version of his Silver Scroll-winning song If I Move To Mars. Check out the stripped back track here.

Oliver is currently in Los Angeles, before moving on to Nashville at this end of this month for more co-writing sessions.
