Name: Brian Stensness.
Age: Late 60s.
Live: Omokoroa.
Zodiac sign: Gemini.
Partner: Yes, we've been married since 1964.
Children:  We have three girls and one boy. They live all over the place - Taumaranui, Townsville (Australia), Atiamuri and Auckland.
Car:  I drive a Mitsubishi Lancer.
Job: Not currently.
Childhood hero: It was probably the likes of Colin Meads
because I played rugby growing up and I looked up to him.
Originally from: I'm originally from Katikati but spent all my childhood here in Tauranga before moving away. I was a foundation pupil at Tauranga South; they call it Gate Pa now.
How long have you lived here? We've been back here for about six years now.
What do you love about the Bay? In my younger  days, I loved the harbour because I used to go sailing. We also used to go down to the Mount quite a bit because it was quite vibrant for young people back then.
Changes you've seen: Mainly the wharf and the other thing was the Mangatapu bridge. When we were kids we used to bike around through Papamoa and it took  a while, then we came back across the rail bridge.
Describe the best way to spend a Saturday night in Tauranga: I like doing not much at all.
Favourite holiday destination: We quite like to go to Sydney.
Favourite leisure activity: I play golf. I only manage to go once a week.
Favourite recipe/food: I really like shellfish. My favourites are probably mussels and oysters and things like that.
Favourite music/band: I used to really like ABBA.
Best concert you've been to: John Rowles in the early 60s. He played here down in Memorial Park Hall. That was a great night.
What makes you laugh? Anything! I like good humour.
Which Guinness  World  Record are you most likely to break? None!
What would you miss most if you had to leave the Bay?  Mainly the weather. It's so mild here. Before we moved, we lived in Taumaranui for 30-odd years and it was so cold.
Bay people are the best because ...  they're really friendly.
What is the Bay's best kept secret? I think the upper harbour, like around Bowentown.  The area out there is really nice.
