Tina Neville is a makeup artist, fashion stylist and zumba instructor. Find out more at www.imageandbeauty.co.nz and www.letszumba.co.nz
Q: What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe and why?

A: A full-length Chinese-style dress I bought in Paris in 1997. It's different and a little bit sexy.
I've worn it to weddings and balls.
Q: How many pairs of shoes do you have?

A: I've been trying to avoid counting them! I've got 11 pairs of boots, both ankle and full, approximately 30 pairs of all styles of shoes, plus my Z1 Zumba shoes. My shoe collection is a mix of Singapore cheapies, second-hand, No1 shoes and David Elman.
Q: What are your wardrobe basics?

A: Workshop or Jacinta Fitzgerald slim jeans, tunic tops, belts, jackets and ballet flats.
Q: What do you wear to work?

A: Zumbawear only to teach Zumba classes. When I'm working as a makeup artist I wear leggings, ballet flats and a plain neutral-coloured tunic top. As a fashion stylist, I wear skinny jeans, a funky tunic top and heeled ankle boots
Q: What's your weekend "uniform"?

A: The same as above, because I often work weekends.
Q: What's your oldest piece of clothing?

A: My seventh-form ball dress. It's an electric-blue silk shift dress. And it still fits me 21 years later - just!
Q: What's the latest piece you've bought?

A: Two lovely dresses from local designer Jacinta Fitzgerald's summer collection. I wear a lot of her clothes as they are stylish, feminine, a little bit different and easy to wear.
Q: What accessories do you use?

A: Necklaces and belts mainly. And Zumba accessories for Zumba class, of course.
Q: Which piece of clothing could you not do without?

A: My padded, push-up bra!
Q: What's the most you've spent on an item of clothing?

A: Probably a Caroline Church silk jacket I got at a Fashion Week designer-collection sale a few years ago. It was half-price at $380. It's highly unusual for me to spend more than $100 on anything.
I firmly believe that it's not what you wear, it's how you wear it that matters.
I love mixing it up with pieces from the op shop, Shanton, Max, Farmers and local designers. If you have great posture and wear it with confidence, you'll always look good.
