Jamie Joseph is the director of the Global Breakthrough Festival, which will be held on Saturday, February 19, and aims to raise $100,000 for Tauranga Women's Refuge.
Q: What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe and why?
A: A plain black soft wool zip jersey jacket. The label is Nautica from
Makena Beach, just next door to Uluwatu. It goes everywhere with me.
Q: How many pairs of shoes do you have?
A: About 16 pairs, split between jandals, trainers (lots of adidas) and sexy smart shoes for evening wear. And, of course, a pair of knee-high black leather boots.
Q: What are your wardrobe basics?
A: Jandals, various cargo shorts and skirts and singlets. For summer.
Q: What do you wear to work?
A: In summer, the above, but we will start working more closely now with local labels so I'll be strutting their stuff.
Q: What's your weekend "uniform"?
A: Same as above, although on special evening occasions I've been known to cause a fuss with sexy cocktail dresses. I'm a bit of a tomboy, so when the "wow" dresses come out, it tends to make a "wow" impact.
Q: What's your oldest piece of clothing?
A: A tripped out retro top from when I was 15 and going to the disco.
Q: What's the latest piece you've bought?
A: New bohemian [style] from the Little Big Market, every second Saturday on Maunganui Rd. Beautiful stuff. It's a great creative market with lots of good finds.
Q: What accessories do you use?
A: My jewellery box ranges from a shell I picked off the beach and looped through a chain, to my diamond and gold necklace my folks gave me when I turned 21.
Q: Which piece of clothing could you not do without?
A: Sunglasses.
Q: What's the most you've spent on an item of clothing?
A: I've had clothing sponsors since I was 25 so am fortunate to have some limited edition gear, but I guess my biggest spend would have been a soft leather jacket which I dropped £300 on when I was still living in London (and spending Microsoft dollars).
