Instruments and voices from more than 100 local performers united on Thursday for two concerts at the Waihi College hall.
Event organiser and conductor Wella Tasma says a highlight was the encore performance of Pokarekare Ana which was performed jointly as well as Waihi Central School's rendition of Daddy Cool.
"It's allabout adult musicians supporting the children and getting children excited about music," she says.
Taking part in the two-yearly event were Waihi Central Choir, the Waihi Junior Band, Waihi Women's Choir, the Miscellany Orchestra, ballet dancer Grace Davison, soloists, students from Angela Armiger's Waihi Central School Choir and from Waihi East and Waikino Schools, Waihi and Katikati colleges and more.
The audience was treated to a range of classics from Swan Lake to The Beatles to Limbo Rock.
