The reboot of franchise Fantastic Four is about reintroducing a new generation to superheroes.

The reboot of franchise Fantastic Four is about reintroducing a new generation to superheroes.

The seemingly never-ending Marvel franchise is on to another winner with the re-birth of the Fantastic Four.

We watch as Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team - Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards), Invisible Woman (Sue Storm), Thing (Ben Grimm) and the Human Torch (Johnny Storm) - is created.

Reed (Miles Teller) is a boy genius who is asked to join a team of scientists attempting to transfer matter across dimensions.

Under the stewardship of Dr Franklin Storm (Reg E Cathey), Reed joins with Sue (Kate Mara), Johnny (Michael B Jordan) and Victor von Doom (Toby Kebbell) on the project that could save the world.

When the team finishes the machine, the prospect of the government taking control of it dismays them.

They decide they will try it out and be the first to visit the mysterious planet that could hold immense secrets. Reed, Johnny, Victor and Reed's mate Ben (Jamie Bell) take flight and discover a planet with a mysterious energy.

Their actions have disastrous consequences and, while Reed, Johnny and Ben make it back, Victor is seemingly killed.

The journey home will change the trio forever as their crash landing turns them into three bizarre creatures. Sue, watching on, is also transformed. The foursome now have incredible powers - if harnessed.

But they do not realise that efforts to return to the dangerous planet will open the way for Victor to return home as the powerful Dr Doom with only one objective - to destroy the world that abandoned him. Just one member won't be able to stop him but a collective effort just might.

Fantastic Four is about introducing a new generation to the superheroes. Although the story and adventure told us a lot, there is sure to be plenty to come.
