The Shades are performing in Tauranga for a Waipuna Hospice fundraiser and the dynamic group has "a cracker" performance, says hospice fundraising manager Trish Rae.
If you want to show your support for the work of hospice, as well as be entertained by some incredible talent before they hit the
big time, then this is the concert to see.
"These performers are all extremely talented, and in fact, two of the boys took out the major awards at The Performing Arts Competition Association of New Zealand."
Two members of The Shades took out the top two places in the vocal section: Samson Setu was the winner, and Manase Latu was second.
Samson, Manase and guest soprano Natasha Wilson have all been accepted by Kiri Te Kanawa into her mentoring programme and these young singers are destined to have remarkable careers, she says.
