Fascinators, feathered masks, and fancy dresses were on show at the Tauranga Racecourse on Saturday.

About 1500 people dressed to impressat the Spring Raceday, the second horse racing event of the 2011-2012 season.
TRAC chief executive Campbell Moncur said the weather was fantastic for the day. "One of the exciting things was we sold 200 tickets to a 'pick 6 punters club' and we had eight horses running but we missed out, they came second and third, so that was very exciting."
