Lightworker Jennifer Tuffin passionately believes in her healing powers, and says she can offer people "gifts for your soul" .
Mrs Tuffin, who with her husband Tony moved to Tauranga three months ago from Kapiti Coast, was one of 38 exhibitors from across the North Island showcasing various forms of alternative healing techniques at the Healthy Living Festival at Mount Sports Centre over the weekend.
Other exhibitors included homeopaths, meditation therapists, numerologists, clairvoyants, one photographing and interpreting auras, holistic pulsing - a gentle rocking of the body - and prayer healing.
Mrs Tuffin, 49, described herself as a medium, crystal healer and a Reiki master, using these "gifts" to help people heal through alternative therapies.
Reiki is described as an ancient laying-on of hands technique which uses the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies.
Mrs Tuffin said she had been a healer for over 20 years, helping mainly her friends, but when her mother died last July her inheritance enabled her to establish her own business, Crystal Earth.
Mrs Tuffin described her mother as her "silent business partner".
"I'm qualified to heal people through QBE, or qualified by life experience, my powers gifted to me," she said.
The festival was Mrs Tuffin's debut showing of her business, which she runs from her Bellevue home.
"I heal people through holistic healing and there are all sorts of ways to use healing crystals and their powers go straight to the heart," she said.
Mrs Tuffin said one method of healing was "crystal layering" with the patient lying on a specially-made table with small crystals underneath and on top of them, placed at various "chakras" or spiritual and energy points in the body.
"There are many chakras in your system and each crystal is designed to work on a different one."
The psychic ability to connect with the universal energy that powers the universe was also gifted to her, said Mrs Tuffin.
Festival clear success for crystal healer
