Celebrity chef Ramsay to make donation

British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay says he will make a donation after bowing out of two New Zealand charity dinners for a sick 9-year-old girl.
His company said today the event organisers "did not make it clear " it was a charity event.
Two dinners in Auckland and Wellington next week featuring Ramsay were to raise money for Matisse Reid, of Napier, who has an intestinal disorder that means she cannot eat and requires costly treatment in the United States.
A spokesman said organisers would seek legal remedies for substantial damages.
