NUMBER two son gave number one son a pasta machine for Christmas.
I was very envious at the time as it is something I would have liked myself.
They decided to give it a test drive in my kitchen and the resulting pasta was excellent. It was so good that the family
urged them to repeat the process the next day.
I was the only person not enthusiastic about this idea as I was expected to clean up after them. It never fails to astonish me how two grown men let loose in a kitchen can create such a mess, particularly when they are only using egg and flour.
I decided I was happy buying my pasta, as cleaning has never been high on my list of priorities.
When my daughter offered to cook a meal for me I was delighted, particularly when she prepared and cooked it in her own kitchen and all I had to do was enjoy the results.
You can make these little fritters as large or small as you wish. Small ones make good nibbles and larger ones a substantial meal with a salad.
They are equally good hot or cold.
