A programme as distinctive as its performers will be presented at St Johns Church Bureta on Sunday.
Concert pianist Lee Cameron and saxophonist Arthur Cameron (no relation) will team up for a Blues to Baroque concert.
The pair have played together several times and their concerts have become well known for their
eclectic content.
This time the programme will include Blue Sax, Bridge Over Muddy Waters and the theme from Poirot as well as pieces by, among others, Chopin, Hayden, Handel and Mozart.
While both have eventually settled in the Western Bay of Plenty, Lee and Arthur spent the early part of their lives in Britain.
Lee was born in Scotland, but after arriving with his family in Tauranga he continued his studies with the late Mary Roberts and Prof Janetta McStay.
He has gone on to give many concerts as both a soloist and accompanist.
He teaches music and creative musicianship to children and adults as well as having a busy concert schedule that regularly takes him to Japan and China.
Arthur was born in England, but lived in Auckland for many years. Shortly after arriving, he joined the Auckland Neophonic Orchestra, and has also played many times for radio and television broadcasts, including Radio Times, The Ray Woolf Show, The Tonight Show and Come Dancing.
Arthur has backed and toured with many artists including Sammy Davis Jnr, Matt Monro, Shirley Bassey, Cilla Black, Roger Whittaker and Sir Howard Morrison.
He was a member of the Auckland Saxophone Quartet for 10 years and made a very successful appearance with the Bay Symphonia Orchestra at its 2009 Last Night of the Proms concert.
Blues to Baroque takes place at St John's Church, Bureta Rd, 2pm on Sunday. Tickets are $15 adults and $10 students.
