EXFOLIATE AND RENEW
As the colder months approach and the humidity drops, your skin may feel dry and flaky.
Once or twice a week, use a gentle scrub on a soft wash cloth to clean the skin and buff away dead cells, product build-up or excess oil and grit. Immediately massage a rich moisturiser on the skin to renew your skin barrier.
You will feel the difference immediately, but remember to stay the course and repeat throughout the season.
TAKE CARE WHEN SHAVING
It is particularly important to care for shaven areas of your body, including your underarms where shaving irritation can cause the skin to lose up to 50 per cent more moisture and lead to dryness and sensitivity.
An easy solution is to use a multi-tasking anti-perspirant or deodorant such as Dove Advanced Care with NutriumMoisture.
It not only provides 48 hours of odour and wetness protection, but also offers softer, smoother underarms in just three days and is clinically proven to reduce irritation from shaving.
PROTECT AND PREVENT
Never skimp on protecting yourself with SPF30 sunscreen - even in autumn and winter. Studies have made it clear that just one minute of unprotected sun exposure starts destroying collagen and skin's natural protection. This damage will eventually replace a radiant complexion with brown spots, dryness and wrinkles.
Apply sunscreen every day, as well as a lip balm rich in emollients and SPF protection.
Following these tips from Dr. Marmur will help people keep their skin moisturised and refreshed throughout the autumn and winter.
