Bayfair Shopping Centre has chosen Jessica Verran and Theresa Comber as the winners of its Faces of Fashion Search.
Ms Verran, a mother of two, is the face of the 18 to 35 group, and Ms Comber, canteen manager at Tauranga Intermediate School, was chosen for the 35 and over group.
Ms
Verran enters many competitions, usually without much luck, and was very surprised to receive the call from Bayfair marketing manager Nina Rivett with the good news.
"I was absolutely thrilled to be selected and really excited about the makeover aspect of the experience. As a young mum there isn't much opportunity for pampering or to get 'dressed up'. The television commercial aspect was certainly something different, but I thoroughly enjoyed giving the new experience a go."
Ms Comber, who has six grandchildren, says she was "a little shocked" to have made it so far, but has relished every moment since winning the position.
"The opportunity and new journey has really lifted my spirits and it is a great pleasure to be involved. Everyone has been so supportive and encouraging. The kids at school think it is fantastic too and keep coming up to congratulate me."
The women will star in a women's fashion television commercial for the shopping centre.
They each received a "top-to-toe makeover" including a make-up session and cosmetics, a manicure, a hairstyling session and two outfits.
