Contrasting work of three local Tauranga artists is on display at Creative Tauranga's Willow Street Community Gallery for the next fortnight in the second of the gallery's group winter exhibitions.
'In From The Cold' showcases works from established local artists Dave Roy, Jenny Coker and Ashley Grant and brings together three
very different mediums and styles from these national and internationally acclaimed artists.
Jenny Coker paints in a beautiful traditional style that evokes thoughts and techniques of classic European work from the middle of last century. After experimenting with charcoal, pastel and watercolour and a wide variety of subjects she these days concentrates on oils.
Dave Roy is a multi-talented artist who moves comfortably between his music and song writing to his continuous reinvented paintings.
And Ashley Grant is a master stone carver who brings ancient art forms meticulously to life.
In this instance he is exhibiting several pieces with a strong ancient Egyptian flavour as well as some more contemporary works.
The exhibition runs until August 4.
