The Art + Money series are back at Tauranga Art Gallery.
This series of discussions with experts deals with a range of topics that relate to collecting and investing in art.
John McCormack, co-director of Starkwhite gallery on Auckland's Karagahape Rd, will be at the gallery on February 27 to
discuss the purpose of public art galleries.
"We launched the Art + Money series last year to give the community an opportunity to learn about things such as buying art, philanthropy, starting an art collection on a budget, and how to be an art mover and shaker," says gallery spokeswoman Martine Rolls.
"This upcoming event in the series has a topic that we think a lot of people will have an interest in. It's our business as a public gallery to provide exceptional art experiences for the people who live in Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty as well as for those who visit our region. Our education programme is another big part of what we do, and we also regularly organise creative workshops and events for both adults and children," she says.
