Devonport Rd recipient Georgia Scott planned to pass the voucher on to her mum, who she said deserved something nice.
"She's always out helping others without expecting anything back. She never buys anything herself," she said.
Mydawny Nairn-Kusabs had in mind a friend who was unable to do her own shopping. "I've got someone in mind. I will more than likely get her grocery shopping and I should probably treat her to some wine and nibbles," she said.
Pay it Forward Day celebrates a worldwide movement inspired by a 12-year-old American boy who had the idea that if everyone did three good deeds for strangers and asked them to do the same, the world would be a better place.
