Generation Homes' first joint venture partner Lyndon Marshall has now taken over the company's flagship Tauranga operation.
Mr Marshall, pictured, was born and bred in Reporoa and managed the Taupo and Rotorua joint ventures for the past four-and-a-half years.
He was hoping to repeat his success in Tauranga.
Graham Hocklyand his business partner, builder David Mansel, founded Generation Homes in Tauranga in 1997.
Generation Homes has aimed to provide certainty in the uncertain world of building by creating and implementing simple, streamlined processes and refining them over the years.
David Mansel has managed the Tauranga business prior to Mr Marshall taking over.
"Generation Homes is now one of the big players in New Zealand's housing market. We've built more than 2000 homes to date and I'm excited to be working in the Bay of Plenty market," Mr Marshall said. "Building consents in our region are on the rise on the back of some large projects and we are confident the general trend will continue."
At a time when new-home builders were very careful about their investment, being able to offer fixed prices, which include items such as landscaping and the letterbox, and a guaranteed building time of 14 weeks, was a strong selling point, he said.
