Natalie Bridges, wife of Tauranga MP Simon Bridges and Editor of Simply You magazine, is joining Village PR at Mount Maunganui in late February.
Natalie, who has been commuting between Tauranga and Auckland, will become the Category Director of the Lifestyle Division responsible for the company's food, beverage, fashion and beauty clients.
The company is also increasing its services in content marketing, brand strategy and design, and will rebrand itself as Village.
More than two years after starting out, Village will have a team of 10 when Natalie takes up her new role.
Village PR co-owner Tim Paton-Tapsell says the company has identified an opportunity for an integrated marketing communications and public relations agency supplying a high level of service to central North Island businesses, as well as national clients.
Half of Village PR's clients are based in Auckland.
