Designer and retailer, Miranda Cobb, has launched a boutique fashion agency to add to her five Evolution Clothing stores in the North Island.
The Evolution Agency will work with international and local designers to promote and build their brands. It is currently representing label Betty Basics, Sass and Fate, and Cobb's own brand of footwear, SevenDeadlySins.
Cobb, 32, said being in the retail industry and having experience in manufacturing, "I have an understanding of both sides of the industry. The agency was developed to bridge the gap between the wholesaler and store owner."
Evolution Agency has two showrooms in Ponsonby, Auckland, and at Mount Maunganui, which is also head office for Evolution Clothing.
In six years, Cobb has opened boutique stores in Ponsonby, Devonport, Taupo, Gisborne and at the Mount, and now employs 20 people.
