The Penrith Panthers scored a dramatic last minute 24-20 win over the Warriors at Ericsson Stadium last night.
In driving rain the Warriors clawed back Panrith's 6-16 half-time lead and grabbed a 20-18 lead with five minutes remaining.
But like so many times this season they were denied the victory. Panther Tony Puletua scored under the posts from a bomb close to the Warriors line with a minute to go in the match.
Despite all efforts to steal the match in the last minute the Warriors' desperate attack could not breach the Panthers defence.
Logan Swann, Robbie Mears and Shontayne Hape scored for the Warriors, while Puletua, Steve Carter and Ryan Girdler with a pair dotted down for the Panthers.
