A British pop star is reportedly at the centre of a police investigation over claims he raped a 14-year-old girl after she was plucked from the front row of a concert.
The woman, now in her 50s, alleges that she was then invited back to his hotel suite and drank champagne on a balcony with the star, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The Sun on Sunday said she attended the concert overseas with her friends, but alleges her virginity was taken during the encounter.
The paper reports that she and her friends had hoped to meet the star and get his autograph, but only she was invited to the hotel room, where the star appeared wearing a short white robe.
The singer is then said to have led her onto a balcony where they shared some Dom Perignon Champagne, and he complimented her on her appearance.
They then allegedly entered the bedroom, where she says she was raped by him.
She told the newspaper: "He had me down on the bed in one fell swoop.
"His gown was off. I was wearing a jumpsuit. He zipped it down and what had started as affectionate and safe, almost, was suddenly becoming painful and forceful, not comfortable."
She said the alleged encounter, which she claims left her with bruises over her body, "affected my entire life". After leaving the suite, she says she returned to pick up her autograph from him.
Police overseas are investigating.
