Movie World has suffered another glitch on a ride with passengers temporarily stranded on the Wild West Falls Adventure Ride on Monday.

They were freed after about 20 minutes, according to reports.

According to witnesses, staff quickly got the eight-seat flume ride moving again.

Movie World released a short statement on the ride's stoppage, saying at no point was patron safety at risk.

It is not known what caused the malfunction.

Last Wednesday, passengers aboard the Arkham Asylum rollercoaster at Movie World were trapped for almost two hours.

That ride malfunctioned about 11.45am and the last passengers were freed at 1.30pm.

More to come.
