Love had nothing to do with it when residents of a London neighbourhood joined forces to have a woman evicted for her repeated night-long Tina Turner karaoke sessions.

Sleep-deprived residents of Riverside Gardens at Hammersmith started lodging complaints about the 46-year-old's noisy nocturnal renditions of the famous diva's power ballads in August 2010.

Almost a year later and following innumerable letters of complaint, visits from housing officers and the issuing of an unsuccessful noise abatement notice, the woman has been ordered to leave, Britain's Evening Standard newspaper reports.

Even after an official warning of eviction in November, the singing continued, but court action saw the matter finalised in July.

"This woman had every opportunity to pipe down and give her neighbours some peace but she refused," Hammersmith and Fulham councillor Greg Smith told the Standard.

"Eviction is the last resort but if someone insists on making life a misery for others, we will take all necessary action."
