Television newsreader Angela D'Audney is in a comfortable condition after surgery for a brain tumour.
The 56-year-old had the operation yesterday after an MRI scan detected the tumour last week.
TVNZ spokesman Glen Sowry said the operation had gone well.
"She's come out of surgery and is in a comfortable condition. She's even spoken to the surgeons, which is great news."
