Bushy Park Trust is to go head-to-head with the country's top voluntary groups at the Trustpower National Community Awards this month.
Last year the trust won the Trustpower Energy Direct Whanganui District Community Awards.
Now Bushy Park will square off against the 24 other voluntary groups from around the country that were named the winners at their regional awards. The national awards will take place in Rotorua from March 24-26.
The trust will be judged on an eight-minute presentation, along with a 1000-word summary about the organisation and its work.
Whanganui mayor Hamish McDouall will be in attendance along with the Bushy Park Trusts' Liz Tennet.
The national winner will take home a trophy, $4000 in prizemoney, a framed certificate and a $1000 consultancy voucher from one of New Zealand's leading training providers for the community sector.
The runner-up gets $2500 in prizemoney and a $500 voucher and the Whetu Mataiata Award recipient receives a framed certificate and a consultancy service package.
