A man cornered his partner as his children ran from the home, a court heard.
Lane Goff pleaded guilty in Whanganui District Court on Tuesday for one charge of contravening a protection order.
Judge David Cameron told the court Goff was a his partners home at 8.19pm on November 19.
Goff was sitting on the couch while she was preparing their children to bed. In frustration she said he could leave if he wasn't going to help.
At this Goff got up and cornered her in rage, pressing his forehead against hers, yelling directly into her face.
Two of the children fled from the home to nearby neighbours.
The mother picked up the remaining child and ran to the family car. As she drove away Goff threw a unknown object at the vehicle.
