A run of crisp days in Whanganui have seen people heading to Kowhai Park and the beach - yes, people were seen swimming at Morgan St beach on Monday.

Having fun in the sun at the park yesterday were 4-year-old Liam and 2-year-old Sophie Buhler.

The other side of the glorious weather has been frosty nights, with a temperature of 1C in the city overnight on Tuesday and 3C overnight yesterday.

The good weather, helping to dry out a saturated province, was forecast to end today with cloudy conditions and rain expected from Friday for the weekend.PHOTO/STUART MUNRO
