When people kept turning up to the Bulls Museum to see exhibitions that had long closed it became apparent some displays needed a permanent place.
For the past few years, the museum has been digging through the archives and highlighting the history of various aspects and people of the town.
The High St museum has an ever-changing display space in the front, while the back always housed its settlers' collection. Now space has been made for three of its recent and most popular displays to become a fixture.
One of the triggers was the success of last year's Chris Amon display, which celebrated the career of the Bulls man who became one of New Zealand's most successful Formula 1 drivers in the 1960s and 1970s, volunteer liaison Robin Boutcher said.
That finished in June last year but people kept coming to Bulls specifically to see it.
