In the middle of the night on May 30 last year, a man awoke in his Feilding home to find Khole Leslie Buckthought wandering the halls.
When asked what he was doing, Buckthought told the man he was looking for somebody, before running from the house.
When police arrested him, he told them he was intoxicated at the time and thought he was in his girlfriend's house, not realising his mistake until the victim spoke to him.
The 29-year-old pleaded guilty in the Whanganui District Court to burglary, as well as driving while disqualified, two counts each of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, unlawfully taking a motorcycle, and of failing to answer bail.
He appeared last week for sentence.
