Taihape woman Gail Larsen loves her home town and will always go the extra mile to ensure community events are fabulous.
Deputy chairwoman of the Taihape Community Board, Ms Larsen has been re-elected president of the Taihape A&P Show even though she called a public meeting a week ago in the hopes someone else would take over.
While the turnout for that meeting was better than expected with a couple of younger people turning up willing to lend a hand, unfortunately she's landed the job of president again, she said.
A new president was voted in at the meeting but quickly decided he wasn't up to it, she said. "So I'm it again."
Being president of the Taihape A&P Society is a three-year term.
