Whanganui School of Design graduands will celebrate their graduation at midday on Friday in the Atrium on the Rutland St campus.

After the ceremony, graduates and their families and friends join the official procession along Victoria Ave to Majestic Square where the Whanganui UCOL Certificate in Contemporary Music students will perform.

The ceremony will have an international flavour as more than half of the 38 Computer Graphic Design graduands come from as far afield as India, Malaysia, China, Korea and Tonga.

Twenty students have successfully completed the Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design, three the Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design (Honours) and four the Graduate Diploma in Animation. Three students will graduate with a Master of Computer Graphic Design and eight with the Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Graphic Design (Honours).

The degrees are jointly conferred by the WSD and the University of Waikato.
