1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
2. The Promoters reserve the right to store electronically any pictures sent in by nzherald.co.nz and The New Zealand Herald Travel readers and to use the images free of charge in any of its online and print publications. Photographers retain the copyright to their photographs.
3. The competition is open to New Zealand residents and citizens only, and strictly excludes professional photographers. Employees of the Promoters and the Promoters' associated companies and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
4. To enter the promotion, entrants must provide their full name, current and valid email address, a photo from an overseas travelling experience, the photo's location and a short caption about the photo ("Eligible Entrants").
5. Photos must be the property of the Entrant and must be of reasonable quality.
6. Eligible Entrants are limited to one entry in the promotion. Any subsequent entry after the first valid entry received from an eligible entrant will be invalid.
7. Promotion commences at 12.01am on Tuesday 21 July 2009 and will finish at 11.59pm on Monday 27 July 2009 ("Promotional Period").
8. 12 finalists will be selected by Travel Editor Jim Eagles and Online Travel Editor Eveline Jenkin by Thursday 30 July 2008, and the three winners determined by votes submitted by nzherald.co.nz readers by Wednesday 6 August 2008.
9. The winners will be notified by telephone or email. Inability to contact the winner within fourteen days of selection will result in the prize being forfeited.
10. The winners consent to their name and photo being used for public relations purposes relating to this promotion.
11. There are three prizes of one Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1GN Waterproof 12.1 Megapixel compact camera with HD capability each worth $800 to be won.
12. Promoters' decision based on nzherald.co.nz reader votes is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. The prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be taken for cash.
14. The prize will only be delivered in New Zealand and the winner should allow 28 days from prize draw for delivery. In the event that the winner is a New Zealand citizen currently located overseas, the winner must supply a New Zealand address for the prize to be delivered to.
15. Entries must be submitted via the form provided during the Promotional Period. The Promoters are not responsible for entries sent by email or post or late, lost or misdirected entries.
16. Not all photos will be published on nzherald.co.nz. Only a selection of up to 50 photos per day will be displayed.
17. The Promoters reserve the right to withdraw this promotion or any part of this promotion should their ability to fulfil due obligations be limited at any stage by any form of technical failure.
