South Taranaki folk will be able to slide and glide and hopefully not collide at an ice rink in their region.
For two weeks from July 3 the TSB Hub will be transformed into a winter wonderland with the installation of an ice skating rink.
The synthetic ice skating rink will be in Hawera for a fortnight, offering South Taranaki residents a chance to try ice skating.
Because the rink is synthetic it's not cold but in other ways it will simulate frozen ice rink conditions.
South Taranaki District Council events co-ordinator Jody Blair said while it might not be ice "...don't be fooled, you can still slip over!"
