Prime Minister John Key is shocked about the Brexit decision and can't see how Britain has made the right call.
He spoke to The Country's Jamie Mackay today about Britain's exit from the EU and the ramifications for New Zealand in the wake of the momentous decision.
Key thinks Brexit isn't the right choice as many of the issues Britains thought they were voting against will still be the same. They will still have to pay in to the EU and the migration issue will continue along with having to meet European rules and regulations to get access to that market.
Or as the Prime Minister puts it "They get all the worst bits without all the best bits".
I'm not in the camp of it being the end of the world. I just think it's more sad for Britain (rather than) significant for New Zealand".
