Despite using the sperm of HIV-positive fathers, 27 babies in Japan have been born virus-free after the virus was removed from the semen, says a Government Aids research team.
But although the babies and their mothers were not infected with the virus, the Government and medical circles have expressed caution over such methods due to the risk of infection.
