With a good all-round team performance on Saturday against New Plymouth Boys High, the Central First XV rugby team ran out winners 48-7 which takes them to the final on Saturday, August 20.
We controlled play well with scrum and lineout dominance, moved the ball wide and made some telling breaks with sharp passing and communication putting players in space.
We got caught out with a couple average tackles which put us under pressure and resulted in NPBHS scoring. We will need to get it right in the final.
We had to work hard and build phases before scoring and all boys stood up and did their jobs well. Another level is required to win finals so it will be up to us to lift our game.
