The Nebulite Taranaki Flyers Stratford were in the winner's circle at the Wellington Swimming Age Group Championships held at the Kilbirnie pool over five sessions last weekend.
The Stratford club finished fifth on points and as the top Taranaki club.
Joshua Gilbert and Claudia Taylor from the Stratford club were named top 11-year boy and girl of the meet in their age groups. The squad collectively won 46 medals: 28 gold, five silver and 13 bronze, and reached 134 personal best times and 17 new national qualifying times.
Joshua Gilbert broke eight Taranaki records for 11-year boys and Brittany Taylor three Taranaki records for 13-year girls.
Medals and finalists at the Wellington meet were: Joshua 11yr boys gold in the 200m, 100m, 50m breaststroke; 400m, 200m, 100m, 50m freestyle; 200m medley; and the 200m and 100m backstroke, and silver in the 50m backstroke.
Claudia Taylor 11yr girls gold 200m, 100m, 50m freestyle; 200m, 100m backstroke; 200m medley and bronze in the 50m backstroke.
