The Future Black Sticks Women have closed out their six-test series against the India Juniors undefeated after a 2-2 draw in their final game at TET Multisports Centre in Stratford on Thursday.
New Zealand went ahead early through Felicity Reidy before the Indians wrestled back the momentum and went ahead by one goal.
Once again the Kiwis refused to let the game slip and delivered an equaliser in the third quarter thanks to a goal from Deanna Ritchie from a penalty corner.
Head coach Jude Menezes said the girls really stepped up against an improved Indian side and finished strongly The series ended with three wins and three draws.
"Throughout the series the games have become much faster and our basics have really improved," Jude said.
