Two from two for the New Zealand men's softball team on day one of the Challenge Cup in Albany.

Having already accounted for Japan, the Black Sox have beaten Samoa 11-1 on the mercy rule.

The rule comes into play when a team is leading by 10.

They face the Czech Republic at 12.30pm, and play Argentina tonight.
