Two people were arrested at Wellington Sevens this weekend and a further 55 were removed or turned away.
Organisers clamped down on debauchery this year, making it a family-friendly atmosphere with low alcohol beers on offer and police in attendance.
More than 18,000 people turned out over the weekend, the majority of whom behaved well, according to police.
On Saturday, one person was arrested for trespass for refusing to leave while intoxicated and on Sunday, one person was arrested for disorder on the walkway to the stadium
Security staff removed or turned way 55 people during the tournament.
"Overall, police are generally pleased with the conduct of those who attended," Inspector Terry Van Dillen said.
